Not tropical enough

... says DH for the Fantabulous Cricut challenge this week. What do you think?

The card is cut from the card feature on Life is a Beach. The water skier is from Going Places with some embroidery floss as the rope. The awesome sun is from H20 (my favorite cartridge this week). The sun and skier are pop-dotted.

My son needed this card right away for a birthday party so I can't change it to make it more tropical. (His friend loves all water sports.)

Back to school 2010

How did summer go by so quickly? Here is a layout just waiting for the first day of school picture. My kids will be going to 2 different schools this fall as my son enters middle school.

This layout is a submission for The Canadian Paper Trail. I'm thrilled to be part of these site.

Most cuts are from the Locker Talk cart. I had to cut out the schools many times to doctor them up to look kinda, sorta like the actual schools. I also played with the flags on the gypsy to switch out the stars and stripes for maples leaves. (love the hide contour feature)

The beautiful apple paper is from DCWV. The stack is called Grade School. I love it so much that I try and use it sparingly. I cut a square from George to make the border and that way I could save the middle for another project.

I doodled a bit and inked a bit and printed the bus stop sign on the printer as the one from Locker Talk is fussy to cut.

Can you guess which cartridge I used for this layout?

Are you guessing Camp Out, or Wildlife, or Summer Vacation maybe?

Wall Decor! That's the only cartridge I used. That cartridge, plain cardstock and a lot of ink.

I am entering this layout for Fantabulous Cricut's challenge this week. The theme is "The Great Outdoors". My kids love hopping on their bikes and finding all our local geocaches.

Missed Mr. Linky

Here is my card anyways. I made this card for a baby meet and greet. The party was last night but I stayed so late, I missed the posting deadline. Oops...

All cuts are from Mickey and Friends. I adjusted the length of the "Mickey" cloud on my Gypsy to make it look a little more like the sketch and unlinked the aspect ratio. The patterned paper is even a Mickey print.

One more punny stamp set

This set is brand new and available for pre-order as of today! I just had to add one more post about stamp sets. This set can be purchased here.

Please let Jess know who sent you.

I love puns!

Punny animal stamp set round up

I love all the new stamp sets put out by fellow scrappy bloggers! Here is a little round up of some of the new sets available. I chose to feature the animal ones just because I would love to buy any of (or all) of these stamps.

Here they are in alphabetical order...

Joy's stamps available at Joy's Life.

Pink Cricut has released stamp sets to go with all the new August Cricut cartridge releases.

Robyn the Pink Stamper has a line of stamps sets designed for the Cricut as well as three DVDs for sale. Her products are available at a few online stores in the US and now in CANADA!

My final stamps to feature today are for sale at Scrappy Moms Stamps I'm not as familiar with this blog but the stamps look great.

I think it's awesome that these bloggers have turned their hobby (passion) into a business.

Mr. & Mrs. card

My DH and went to a beautiful wedding last weekend. Here is the card I made for the couple.

This was a very quick card to make but I think the beautiful paper makes it lovely. All the paper is by DCWV.

Flip flop invitation - complete scraplift

I made these with the Gypsy so I could hide contour the flip flips. All the party info is printed on the inside which I ran through the printer. A flower eyelet holds the card together.

Now that I have an ATG, I love making my own envelopes to go with my cards!

Flip flop birthday theme

I had so much fun with this theme! On Tuesday, we hosted my DD's 8th birthday pool party. The weather was beautiful and our DD had a great time with all her friends.

This banner was inspired by the "Queen" of beautiful banners Sammye Jo

I still have some free vinyl from a local sign maker so I thought why not add flip flops?

I guess I just couldn't stop decorating...

I was thrilled to find flip flop lollipops.

I picked up Old Navy flip flops in the spring when they had a lot of stock (and when they were $1).
